The last big hill at the Seattle Challenge

No, it’s not a 12-step program. It’s time once again for the fifth annual fundraising drive on behalf of the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

This year, one of my favorite blogs, Fat Cyclist.com is organizing a team. Fatty (Elden) captures eloquently the trials of the family of a cancer patient. His family’s story is compelling and his writing moved me to join in an effort to have the most team members and raise the most money in all the LIVESTRONG Challenges in 2009.

I am a virtual participant in San Jose in honor my mom's friend, Debbie, who stopped active treatment and began hospice care last week. Cancer is awful for everyone impacted by it. It’s high time to take cancer out and the Lance Armstrong Foundation is one of the best ways to help.

Please support me as I make a difference in the cancer fight through my virtual participation in the San Jose LIVESTRONG Challenge fro Debbie. It's time to kick cancer to the curb. Thank you!
