Dear Friends,
I have always said that I would never enter an event that required to me to raise funds, regardless of the worthiness of the cause. I have also always gladly donated to those who chose to do so.
So here I am; I have decided to participate in a Livestrong Century on July 12, 2009 and am obligated to raise $250. I am sure that most of you have lost a friend or loved one to cancer, and most are willing or able to help in a small way.
My first plan was to ask 250 friends to donate one dollar each, and I guess you can imagine how far that went! So given my reticence to asking friends for money, please contribute what you are comfortable giving. If you are not in a position to help, please wish me luck!
